Heading out on the road THIS WEEK to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Eagles having released my composition ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ as a single on David Geffen’s Asylum Records. Along with ‘Already Gone’ and ‘Slow Dancing (Swayin’ To The Music), it’s probably known as my most popular song.
Much of my show pays tribute to the songs I wrote with my pal: the late, great, Glenn Frey.
I’ll be taking my Peaceful Easy Feeling 45th Anniversary Tour to the Bay Area first, which, from the headlines, looks like it could really use a Peaceful Easy Feeling right now…
For my 4 SF Bay Area shows in Santa Cruz, Sebastopol, San Francisco and Berkeley, I’ve knocked out a few videos: one with an electric guitar and another on acoustic (below). Seats are going fast and shows have been selling out, so get your tickets soon.
Then I’ll head to the Northwest in June with Blue Elan records labelmate Cindy Alexander. Later in the year tour dates with labelmate Keith Harkin will be announced.
I’m thrilled to see that Glenn Frey’s son, Deacon Frey, has rallied to sing the songs that his Dad made so famous. And it’s great to see him playing his Dad’s guitar, ‘Ol Black’ at each ‘An Evening With The Eagles’ show. They’ll play over 50 dates this year. Go see ’em!
I’ve included my interview with PBS SOCAL below that talks about fame, sex, drugs and rock and roll in the 70s, Ringo Starr, Jackson Browne, Glenn Frey and much more.
I do hope to see you on my Peaceful Easy Feeling 45th Anniversary Tour…. RAIN OR SHINE: It’ll be FUN!
